mechanisms.components¶
Components: storage (springs), dissipation (dampers), inertance (masses) and sources.
Modules
Component base class: something acting on one coordinate, of one of four kinds. |
Constrained elements: springs and dampers that act along one direction n only (a cart). |
Dissipation components: dampers with f(y, ẏ) and f·ẏ ≤ 0. |
A gate on an element: its force times a number between 0 and 1. |
Inertance components: masses and inertias, with kinetic energy ½ ẏᵀ M ẏ. |
Locomotion components: springs whose stiffness follows the phase of a gait. |
Source components: forces whose power is metered in the energy accounting. |
Storage components: springs with an energy V(y) ≥ 0 and the force f = −∂V/∂y. |
